We Must Believe In Spring

This work features American jazz pianist and composer, William (Bill) Evans seated at his piano and immersed in the melodies of the keys. Bill Evans was Heston’s first introduction to jazz, by way of his 15 year old music student JP, who suggested that he “take a listen to Bill Evans.” Heston conveyed falling in love instantly with the sounds of Bill Evans. “There is something about his approach, which puts me at ease and like the title to this painting, I hear colors of spring in his music.”
