This is the first painting of this Jazz legend series, featuring American trumpeter, bandleader, and composer Miles Davis. Miles is a major force in the Jazz world with major contributions to overall music around the world, and a significant musical influence for Heston as a fellow artist. With this painting, Heston describes his goal was to capture Miles in his element. “Through painting Mr Davis, it drew me even closer to the man and his music.”
